The Maintenance Manager is responsible for:
- Managing landscape maintenance projects for commercial and residential clients
- Recruiting, training, assigning and developing labor force
- Scheduling crews, equipment, and workflow based on maintenance contracts
- Experience in using tools and equipment in the landscape trade, including mowers, trimmers, skid steers, loaders, trucks, and trailers.
- Knowledge of 5S compliance with all trucks, trailers, shop, and job sites
- Knowledge, experience, and the ability to teach others the proper techniques in lawn and garden maintenance, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and weeding
- Experience in and knowledge of industry standards for landscape enhancement and installation projects, such as trees, shrubs, flower planting, turf replacement, mulch installation
- Lead snow and ice management tasks including crews, equipment, sub-contractor assignments
- Perform snow and ice management operations
Requirements:
- Completion of college, vocational, or technical training
- Horticulturist Trade Certification (CLT-E) or similar industry experience
- Illinois Pesticide Operator License: General Standards
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience
- Plant knowledge and identification, specifically trees, shrubs, perennials & flowers
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Salary: $55,000-$75,000 based upon experience and qualifications
